What You Will Be Doing 

This is a backfill role to fill a BPT1 position from 28th July 2025 until 2nd February 2026, which will predominantly involve rotating through general medicine and a relieving rotation.

A Basic Physician Training (BPT)1/PGY2 employee undertakes their first year of accredited Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) BPT in parallel and complementary to fulfilling the role of a House Medical Officer (HMO). Under the direction of more experienced medical staff and through collaboration with other health professionals, the HMO provides appropriate medical care commensurate with their capabilities.

To ensure success in managing the clinical demands of the role and the requirements established by the RACP, a robust education program is offered which includes simulation sessions, didactic teaching, short and long case presentations. In addition support is given to achieve research goals.
