What You Will Be Doing
This PGY3+ placement is designed to provide appropriate exposure and experience to enable the junior doctor to consolidate their learning from their PGY2 year, and attain the required skills and knowledge relevant for each rotation. Skills progression should assist the PGY3+ to meet the entry requirements for specialist training programs.
Under the direction of more experienced medical staff, primarily registrars, and through collaboration with other health professionals, the resident provides effective appropriate medical care commensurate with their capabilities and in accordance with delegated clinical privileges that vary from site to site.
The General Stream incorporates a large variety of rotations including:
- Emergency
- General Medicine
- Paediatrics
- O&G
- Psychiatry
- General Surgery
- Surgical Specialties
- Rehabilitation
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- MBBS or Equivalent
- General Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
- Satisfactory completion of a recognised Intern program (PGY1 & PGY2)
Please note: This position will be based at Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals. However, as part of your employment with Peninsula Health, you may be required to work across all our Peninsula Health sites to meet service needs.
