What You Will Be Doing
Peninsula Health is an outer metropolitan Victorian cancer service that is experiencing exciting growth in clinical activity and further expected to expand with the opening of the brand new hospital precinct, with is closely aligned with the Peninsula Clinical School, Monash University.
The Peninsula Health Oncology Clinical Trials unit has been a leading site for recruitment to large Phase II and II trials. The new Oncology Research Group at the Peninsula Clinical School, Monash University will help to bring the clinical trials, health services research, and translational research with vision to develop a leading translational cancer centre.
Applications are invited for the Academic Medical Oncology Fellow position in the Department of Oncology for 2026. It is preferred that candidates have full FRACP (or equivalent) and either prior research experience or interest in pursuing a higher degree.
This position will have a clinical commitment for clinical trials as well as developing translational research and health services research. This position is available for 12 months.
There is a service commitment to clinical trials clinic, development of clinical or translational research. Writing of clinical trials protocols, research papers and grants.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- MBBS or Equivalent
- General Registration with AHPRA Medical Board
- Have successfully completed the RACP written and clinical exam
- Prior research experience and publication or interested in pursuing a higher degree
