The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local
Wellways, Mentis Assist and Peninsula Health are working together to provide mental health and wellbeing supports in Frankston to ensure everyone can access treatment and care closer to home.
The Frankston Mental Health Local will provide welcoming and inclusive support for people aged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health challenges, including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug dependance treatment and care needs.
- The AOD clinician is required to demonstrate clinically meaningful progress towards client-centred goals.
- Help lead/support major mental health reform in Victoria to ensure that everyone is supported.
- In this role you will be part of the launch of one of the first of 60 Mental Health Locals in Victoria.

About the Role
This clinical role that sits within the suite of services provided by Frankston Local, but may be required to work across all sites to meet demand. The position involves providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions (both individual and group interventions) for people experiencing AOD related issues who live within Frankston area.
About you
• Allied Health or Nurse registered or eligible for registration with relevant governing body
• Minimum of 2 years AOD and/or mental health experience
Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of harm reduction opioid replacement treatment.
- Practice in accordance with the Peninsula Care Framework.
- Maintain evidence of continuing professional development relevant to scope of practice
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary framework
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Competency in utilising computer technology
- Takes responsibility for own actions and is proactive and self-starting
