The Team & Role
Based at The Orange Door – Bentleigh, this senior role sits within Bayside Health’s integrated Family Violence Program. You’ll work alongside an experienced, multidisciplinary team responding to high‑risk family violence cases, with a strong focus on accountability, safety and collaboration.
As a Senior Family Violence Practitioner, you’ll hold a clinical caseload, lead intake and assessment using the MARAM framework, and provide expert guidance to colleagues across the Hub. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated, timely support for individuals and families affected by family violence.

Skills & Experience Required
- Social Work qualification and eligibility for full membership with the AASW (Social Workers) or Relevant qualification in Social Sciences or related fields (Community Development Workers)
- Qualifications must align with the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (Recommendation 209)
- Extensive experience working with male perpetrators who use violence
- Experience in related Family Violence, child wellbeing or family services sectors.
- Experience in completing risk assessments and safety planning with high-risk clients with complex needs using the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Frameworks and tools.
- Demonstrated well developed organisational and administrative skills, including ability to effectively manage time and competing priorities.
