The Team & Role
In accordance with the Values and Vision of Peninsula Health, you will support achieving the goals and objectives of the role and organisation.
The MCCN provides care, information, and support for people with cancer across the continuity of care pathways and multidisciplinary teams across the cancer care community within the Health Service/demographic region. The MCCN will provide collaborative clinical and supportive care for people and their families, along with the facilitation of communication across the multidisciplinary cancer care team.
The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Breast will have expert knowledge regarding the spectrum of cancer care and beyond. Inclusive of all aspects of pre and post breast surgery, oncoplastics, breast surgery, medical and radiotherapy oncological treatment plans, inclusive of health assessment, treatment pathways, referrals, and on-going facilitation of clinical and supportive cancer care.

Skills & Experience Required
• Post Graduate qualifications in Breast Cancer Nursing
• Current AHPRA Nursing Registration Division 1
• Minimum of 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience as a registered nurse with at least 3 years recent full time equivalent experience in Oncology, Palliative Care or Cancer Stream specific Nursing.
