Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland.

We have more than 15 main sites, including hospitals, centres and clinics that provide comprehensive care from welcoming newborns to supporting older people and a full range of services in between.

More than 22,000 dedicated staff are focused on providing exceptional, equitable, and locally connected care through shared expertise, compassion, and a commitment to continuous growth. Education and training are central to staff development as we encourage all employees to strive and thrive.

Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.

The Team & Role

We are seeking one or more experienced and enthusiastic Senior Speech Pathologists to provide clinical leadership to our inpatient subacute speech pathology service in a casual capacity for a limited term, supporting one or two sites.

Supporting and delivering high quality, person centred care will be central to this role. You will work closely with subacute speech pathologists to support safe, timely, and effective service delivery through clinical guidance, prioritisation, and optimisation of workloads and resources, including the appropriate and resourceful use of VFSS and FEES.

The subacute service operates within a multidisciplinary team environment, and this role promotes collaborative practice, professional networking, and strong interdisciplinary relationships. There will be opportunity to engage with the broader Speech Pathology and Allied Health leadership teams to support service continuity and quality improvement.

This is also an opportunity for experienced Grade 1 and Grade 2 speech pathologists who are interested in future opportunities with Bayside Health - Peninsula. While the current recruitment focus is on casual senior clinicians, applications from experienced grade 1 and grade 2 speech pathologists seeking casual employment are welcomed, with roles and responsibilities tailored appropriately to experience level. Opportunities may be based within subacute services, or based at our main acute site at Peninsula University Hospital.
