What You Will Be Doing
Join the Corporate Communications & Philanthropy team during an exciting time for Peninsula Health, as we prepare to open the redevelopment of Frankston Hospital in January 2026.
The Communications Specialist works across internal and external communications to develop and implement communications plans to meet strategic goals. The role is critical to ensuring Peninsula Health delivers exceptional and engaging written and multimedia content to grow our impact and influence, and to help achieve our brand and fundraising objectives.
This role is a wonderful opportunity for a communications professional to join a small and supportive team and work on a range of communications campaigns, projects, and events, including the opening of the new hospital.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Recognised tertiary qualifications and/or significant career experience relevant to the position.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and managing simultaneous projects with competing deadlines in a changing environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience managing corporate social media accounts, and developing and implementing growth plans.
• Proven ability to write and produce engaging content for print and digital channels, with a strong editorial sense and ability to produce content to brief.
• Experience in media relations and developing relationships with media outlets.
• Experience writing media releases and news stories.
• Ability to translate technical terminology into readily comprehensible language and concepts.
• Ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, self-motivation, and initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to produce videos and photography content to a high standard.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience in using MailChimp (desirable)
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to relate to a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and at various levels of seniority, and build strong and effective working relationships to deliver outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to challenges, and to work effectively in a small, diverse team environment.
• Current driver’s license.
• Experience working within a healthcare or health-focused organisation. (desirable, not essential)
• Experience developing fundraising content. (desirable, not essential)
