The Team & Role
The Consultant Psychiatrist will work closely with the Head of Adult Psychiatry and the Clinical Director of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Service to further high standards of clinical governance and leadership around Mental Health and Wellbeing Act compliance, patient flow, service quality, evidence-based care and service improvement.
We work within a collegiate environment to provide senior clinical care and leadership to our multidisciplinary service that is committed to patient centred, personal, safe, effective and connected care.
You will lead and manage senior and junior medical staff in your allocated units to achieve optimum outcomes.
As part of a broader team you will support the further development of innovative, rights based, and person centred care.

Skills & Experience Required
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022.
- Medical Practitioner Registration in Australia.
- Relevant Specialist experience.
- Relevant track record and experience in clinical management.
- Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills.
