The Team & Role

The Registered Midwife (RM) is a valued and integral member of the Peninsula Health multidisciplinary team demonstrating flexibility in caring for patients and their families across the organisation. The RM works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centered care to achieve optimal health outcomes. The Graduate Midwife Program is designed to assist the newly qualified RM in the transition from student to registered practitioner as a valued member of our healthcare team.

Skills & Experience Required 

Essential 

  • AHPRA registration as a Midwife
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective communication and the ability to relate to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds
