What You Will Be Doing
Each year the Plastic Surgery Unit at Peninsula Health appoints 4 Unaccredited Plastics Registrar positions. This is made up of 2 Full time Clinical Registrars and 2 Full time Registrars combining Clinical and Research.
Under supervision, provide appropriate medical care to patients and assist more senior doctors in complex cases
Provide day to day clinical management of patients and attend daily ward rounds
Ensure patients are seen in a timely manner and accept referrals from other units seeking Consultant input
Perform Unit duties as delegated by the Head of Unit or receiving Consultant in accordance with Peninsula Health’s policies and procedures and relevant legislation
Provide HMO’s and interns with supervision, support, feedback and teaching
Attend and actively participate in service meetings and clinical audit activities convened by the Clinical Director or Head of Unit.
The Unaccredited Registrars combining clinical and research have the opportunity to complete or commence a higher degree, alternatively a standalone research project may be undertaken. Weekly research meetings are held and coordinated by the Director of Surgical Research to guide and assist with any projects.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- MBBS Degree or equivalent
- Must hold current Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
- PGY4+ level or beyond
- Intend to pursue a career in plastic surgery
