What You Will Be Doing
Successful applicants will work alongside professional and supportive surgical consultants in the Vascular unit at Peninsula Health. Consultants lead rounds weekly with regular teaching in theatre. Twelve-month rotation available for interested applicants. You will be based at Frankston Hospital will also be required to attend operating sessions at the Frankston Public Surgical Centre. Applicants should be PGY3 level or beyond and intend to pursue a career in surgery.
Successful applicants can expect to gain experience in operative surgery, ward & outpatient management of vascular patients, surgical audit and multidisciplinary care meetings. They will be expected to participate in a rotating after-hours remote on-call roster.

Registrars are encouraged to participate in research with a dedicated monthly research meeting and research assistant.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- MBBS or equivalent
- Have experience with previous rotations in Vascular surgery and be confident with independent assessment of vascular patients in the Emergency Department.
- Ability to work as an effective member of an inter disciplinary team
- Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice
- Must hold current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner.
