The Team & Role
This new fixed term position plays a key role in the collaboration between Peninsula Health and the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) in the Harm Prevention Innovation Project. Working alongside the assigned project officer, the successful incumbent will review, validate and analyse data related to hospital acquired complications (HACs) and liaise with clinical units for data reporting and development of harm prevention strategies.
The HAC data is generated by the Health Information Management team, therefore operationally the Clinical Advisor reports the Director of HIS and the team including the Director of Safer Care will meet for a brief update once per fortnight.

Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in peri-operative care (e.g., anaesthesia, surgery, peri-operative medicine)
- Registered Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
- Proven ability to interpret and validate clinical data
- Strong analytical and communication skills
