Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026

 

The Team & Role

SHARPS (Southern HEP/HIV/AIDS Resource & Prevention Service) has been established in Frankston since March 1991. The program provides a Fixed based (shop front) 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday Needle & Syringe Program (NSP).  It also provides a Mobile Outreach NSP service which covers the area of Frankston, Springvale and Dandenong which operates on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 1830 to 2230

Skills & Experience Required

 

  • Certificate IV in Drug & Alcohol or working towards
  • Knowledge of relevant service provider groups 
  • Effectively liaise with relevant service providers
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence with the ability to capability drive at night and in the rain or other inclement weather conditions.   
  • Demonstrated understanding and acceptance of the philosophy of Harm Reduction and its applicability to IDU
