The Team & Role

Our Dental Service is a key part of a multidisciplinary, community‑focused health team committed to delivering safe, personal, effective and connected oral health care. We provide a broad range of preventive and clinical dental services across fixed and mobile settings, supporting community oral health, public dentistry initiatives and school‑based programs such as Smile Squad.

We are seeking Dental Therapists / Oral Health Therapists across Graduate, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 classifications. Appointment level will be based on qualifications, experience, demonstrated capability and scope of practice.

In this role, you will provide high‑quality dental care within your professional scope and registration, working collaboratively with dentists, oral health professionals and support staff. All levels contribute to excellent clinical standards, infection control, accurate clinical documentation, customer‑focused care and continuous quality improvement.

  • Graduate and Grade 1 clinicians are supported to consolidate and develop clinical skills, working with increasing independence while recognising limitations and seeking guidance as required.

  • Grade 2 clinicians practice with a high degree of autonomy, managing more complex presentations, contributing to public health activities, and supporting less experienced colleagues through mentoring and collaboration.

  • Grade 3 clinicians provide senior clinical leadership, manage complex patient needs, contribute to service development and improvement, support peer review and mentoring, and play an active role in complaints management and clinical decision‑making.

Across all grades, clinicians are expected to engage in continuous learning, maintain professional registration and CPD requirements, participate in promotional oral health activities, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork, consumer service and public dental health principles.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive service that values professional growth, teamwork and making a meaningful impact on community oral health, whether you are starting your career or seeking a senior clinical role.
