What You Will Be Doing
The Wellness Clinic provide multidisciplinary (dietitian, exercise physiology and music therapy) community based physical health and psychosocial interventions within a recovery orientated model. The team provides specialist expertise in physical health treatment, psychological, behavioural, social and functional interventions. The Wellness Clinic also provides support and education for consumers and carers/families as well as consultation to mental health clinicians.
This Grade 2 Dietitian position works with the multidisciplinary team to deliver dietetic services for inpatient and community consumers under Peninsula Health’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.
The role has particular responsibility for providing scientific health and nutrition information and translating this into practical advice, tailored to each person’s individual situation and recovery goals. The dietitian provides individual consultations and facilitates group programs.
Grade 2 Dietitians have a leadership role through development of clinical expertise, involvement in quality and research activities, staff and student supervision.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Extensive experience in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Member or eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia and the APD program.
- Member or eligible for membership of the Accreditated Practicing Dietitian Program.
- Previous experience working with clients living with mental illness in a hospital or community setting.
- Capability to supervise and mentor students, Grade 1 staff and promote professional competence.
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence.
