The Team & Role
The Digital Application Specialist (Patient Flow) is primarily responsible for supporting all level 2 support requirements for the Patient Flow Management Applications. The responsibilities include end user support, training, configuration, testing, upgrades and maintenance of the Alcidion Miya Precision® application suite.
This newly created role will be a key resource in the Digital Health Team, and will work closely with other teams across the Strategy, Capital and Digital directorate to support the organisation’s clinical operations. The role will also represent Bayside Health and Peninsula Care Group interests with the application vendor, and other key external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required
- Level 2 service desk support for the Miya Precision® application suite
- Maintain service level agreements in collaboration with application vendor, Peninsula Care Group’s digital health and IT operations teams
- Respond, track and resolve application incidents as per agreed service level agreements
- Assess, triage, prioritise and complete all patient flow and related digital health service requests
- Support any clinical, operational and other requirements for the patient flow project transition to BAU (business as usual)
- Provide ongoing support, training, and education for all application end users (including super users)
- Work with the Patient Flow team and other organisational leaders to promote the use of the Miya Precision® application suite to support clinical operations
- In collaboration with the IT operations team, ensure that all system patches, upgrades and releases are completed to support continued system functionality and minimise business impacts
- Recent healthcare experience in a clinical, administrative or operational role
- Strong knowledge of acute hospital environments and associated clinical workflows
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- The ability to attend onsite at any of Peninsula Care Group’s facilities to support end user requirements, or as directed. This will include clinical consumer-facing areas.
Additional desirable Skills
- Previous experience working with the Alcidion Miya Precision® application suite
- Demonstrated experience using a similar patient flow application, or clinical information system
- Previous experience in a clinical application support / service desk role
- Tertiary qualifications in a related health discipline (e.g. nursing, pharmacy, allied health)
