The Team & Role

The Digital Application Specialist (Patient Flow) is primarily responsible for supporting all level 2 support requirements for the Patient Flow Management Applications. The responsibilities include end user support, training, configuration, testing, upgrades and maintenance of the Alcidion Miya Precision® application suite. This newly created role will be a key resource in the Digital Health Team, and will work closely with other teams across the Strategy, Capital and Digital directorate to support the organisation’s clinical operations.  The role will also represent Bayside Health and Peninsula Care Group interests with the application vendor, and other key external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential          

  • Recent healthcare experience in a clinical, administrative or operational role
  • Strong knowledge of acute hospital environments and associated clinical workflows
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • The ability to attend onsite at any of Peninsula Care Group’s facilities to support end user requirements, or as directed. This will include clinical consumer-facing areas.

Desirable         

  • Previous experience working with the Alcidion Miya Precision® application suite
  • Demonstrated experience using a similar patient flow application, or clinical information system
  • Previous experience in a clinical application support / service desk role
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related health discipline (e.g. nursing, pharmacy, allied health)
  • Qualifications in digital health, computer science or related discipline
