What You Will Be Doing

We're seeking a dynamic Director, Medical Workforce Unit to drive excellence in the recruitment, coordination and support of our junior and senior medical and dental teams. This pivotal role will oversee day-to-day operations while delivering innovative workforce solutions that align with Peninsula Health’s strategy. From credentialing to policy, wellbeing to workforce growth — your leadership will influence the heart of healthcare delivery.

In this critical leadership role, you will:

  • Drive the design and implementation of a centralised medical workforce model that delivers more responsive and future-proof workforce solutions
  • Provide expert leadership in workforce planning, medical recruitment, policy, and governance
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, empowering staff to thrive through transformation

 

What You Need

  • Qualifications in healthcare management, human resources, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage change initiatives, enhancing workforce efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex workforce challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking and decision-making that drives organisational success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commitment to living organisational values and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and clinical strategies.

*Please refer to Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
