What You Will Be Doing  

The Environmental Service Assistant is a valued member of the Support Services Team, working to undertake a range of cleaning duties that supports the well-being of patients, staff and others. This position is likely to have contact with patients, and also includes interacting with staff and visitors to the hospital. The ESA will demonstrate effective inter-personnel skills and an ability to work cooperatively and flexibly, maintaining nominated areas in accordance with the specified work schedules and cleaning systems.

  • Previous experience as a professional cleaner 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to prioritise competing needs and work flexibility

  • Display a commitment to providing quality service to patients, staff and visitors
