On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing
The Environmental Service Assistant is an effective member of the Support Services Team who will work with other staff as required to undertake a range of cleaning duties that supports the well-being
of patients, staff and others. This position is likely to have contact with patients, staff and visitors to the hospital and will demonstrate effective inter-personnel skills and an ability to work cooperatively and
flexibly so as to not disrupt the operation of the work unit.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
Previous experience demonstrates ability to work as a professional cleaner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritise competing needs and work flexibility
Displays a commitment to providing quality service to patients, staff and visitors.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication to be able to follow instructions, answer
patient and carer enquiries and meet OHS requirements
Good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of infection controls principles and procedures
Hold a current Victorian Drivers License

*Please refer to Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
