The Team & Role
The grade 2 Physiotherapist is responsible for providing safe, personal, effective and connected care, predominantly within the orthopaedic stream of care.
The grade 2 Physiotherapist will work flexibly with the broader Physiotherapy team to provide acute orthopaedic inpatient care and community-based care for patients recovering post-operatively. Supervision for grade 1 physiotherapists, allied health assistants, and the provision of clinical education for undergraduate physiotherapy students are key responsibilities of this role.
- Work flexibly across programs to provide high-quality physiotherapy services to meet the operational requirements of the organisation and to support patients in achieving excellent clinical outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with clients, families, interdisciplinary team members, volunteers and students in support of optimal patient safety and person-centred care delivery
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and sharing of knowledge through formal and informal multidisciplinary frameworks

Skills & Experience Required
- Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Demonstrated ability to competently and autonomously deliver high quality Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and patient management for musculoskeletal patients.
- Demonstrated capacity to teach, support and supervise junior Physiotherapists and undergraduate Physiotherapy students.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous and innovative improvement through quality and/or research activities.
