The Team & Role
The Grade 2 Physiotherapist delivers high-quality, patient-centred care primarily to acute orthopaedic and surgical patients in an inpatient setting, while also supporting services across outpatient, subacute, and community areas as required. Working collaboratively within the broader Physiotherapy team, they ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based care that promotes optimal clinical outcomes. The role includes supervising and mentoring Grade 1 Physiotherapists, allied health assistants, and students, contributing to education and professional development. Additionally, the Grade 2 Physiotherapist participates in musculoskeletal stream initiatives and quality improvement activities, while demonstrating strong professional skills, flexibility, and positive workplace relationships.

Skills & Experience Required
• Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrated ability to competently and autonomously deliver high quality Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and patient management for orthopaedic patients and surgical patient groups as required.• Demonstrated capacity to teach, support and supervise junior Physiotherapists and undergraduate Physiotherapy students.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous and innovative improvement through quality and/or research activities.
• Demonstrated participation in professional development.
• Current Victorian Driver’s licence
• Previous experience working across the care continuum (acute to subacute to community) (desirable)
