The Team & Role
This position is responsible for providing the initial point of contact for users submitting an incident or request for service to the IT Service Desk. As a committed team member the Service Desk Officer will provide first level support and maintenance of the computer, peripheral equipment and application environment by analysing, troubleshooting and resolving requests to meet KPI’s and SLA’s. Where resolution of requests on first contact not possible, the Service Desk Officer will escalate as appropriate.

Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Windows Operating Systems
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office (including 365) product suite and desktop applications software
- Excellent knowledge and experience of User Provisioning (MS Active Directory / MSExchange)
- Experience working in an ITIL based service delivery environment
- Ability to quickly diagnose hardware and software problems and formulate appropriate solutions.
- Ability to assess hardware and software requirements and suggest appropriate solutions
- Enthusiastic and positive approach with a strong customer focus
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly and efficiently diagnose/analyse technical issues
- A “hands-on” approach – willing to participate in day to day tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and manage workloads
- Ability to work productively under minimal supervision
- Proven customer service record, and exposure to the Help Desk/Service environment
