What You Will Be Doing  

The key responsibilities of the Instructional Designer are to:

  • Design, develop, guide, implement or evaluate high-quality, effective and engaging learning materials, informed by collaboration with experts, adult learning and instructional design principles, storyboards, guidelines, and supported with graphic and multimedia assets. 
  • Assist employees to troubleshoot and resolve issues with eLearning content or functionality 
  • Contribute to the administration and advancement of the Peninsula Health Learning Management System (LMS), the Learning Hub Online (LHO).
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of eLearning standards, eLearning Help dashboards, LHO user support and other instructional resources.

What You Need 
We anticipate you will have: 

  • Qualification or certification in eLearning Instructional Design or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in an eLearning position.
  • Experience within the healthcare or education sector highly preferred.
  • Experienced using Articulate 360 suite, specifically Storyline and Rise.
  • Strong visual design, creativity and technical skills to create interactive, engaging eLearning content and the technical aspects of courses.
  • Skills in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, Forms.
  • Graphic design ability in Creative Cloud applications such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro and Illustrator (or similar) (desired).
  • Experience in editing and narration of video content (Camtasia) or animation (desired).
  • Experience in managing an eLearning catalogue and administering a Learning Management System (Totara) and its resources.
  • Experience in training and supporting Learning Management System users.

*Please refer to Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
