The Team & Role

Enthusiastic and motivated Radiographers are invited to join the busy Peninsula Care Group team as a full-time Grade 2 radiographer. Vacancies available for General, CT, Angiography and MRI experienced staff or training available. The Grade 2 Radiographer is responsible for the conducting of diagnostic imaging examinations and producing diagnostic images in line with the accepted policies/procedures and clinical practice guidelines of Bayside Health (Peninsula).

The Grade 2 Radiographer will actively take on a clinical leadership role with respect to junior staff and be available if required for participation in the rotating shift roster at all sites and afterhours on-call.

Skills & Experience Required

  • To produce a high quality diagnostic medical service images as directed by the Operations Director in conjunction with modality supervisors
  • Deputise for Grade 3 and 4 Radiographers as required
  • Responsible for working with all senior and junior staff, and supervising students to ensure that departmental guidelines are adhered to at all times
  • Assist the modality Supervisors to manage and coordinate workflow and assist in quality and administrative requirements of the department
  • Assist and mentor other team members and clinical staff in the provision of all medical imaging services in an appropriate manner
  • Prioritise patient wellbeing and safety whilst providing a timely imaging service
  • Assist and mentor other team members and clinical staff in the department to promote the ALARA principles at all times
  • Degree/Diploma in Medical Imaging or equivalent
  • Current Victorian Radiation Use Licence
  • Current AHPRA Registration

 

Additional desirable Skills

           

  • Previous experience as a Grade 2 Radiographer
  • Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
