What You Will Be Doing
We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager to lead our dynamic and supportive team in our Medical Ward (Bass Ward) at Frankston Hospital in a permanent full time role. Bass ward is a 32 bed acute medical ward with capacity for cardiac monitoring (for non cardiac patients) and is the admitting ward for covid screened patients.
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of the Bass ward provides advanced nursing and clinical leadership in proactively managing and coordinating clinical practice and the provision of human, financial and material resources in accordance with organisational goals, ensuring a cost effective nursing service focused on providing exceptional, evidence based patient centred care.

What You Need
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated performance in a nursing leadership or management role within the acute sector
- Identifies and responds appropriately to organisational directives
- Clearly and confidently communicates with key contacts and welcomes constructive feedback
- Accepts responsibilities for own actions
- Seeks all relevant information for problem solving
- Identifies and supports, where necessary, the need for change
- Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language
- Competent using a range of software application features for word processing, spread sheets etc.
- Demonstrated contribution towards organisation accreditation processes.

*Please refer to Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) Single interest employment agreement 2024-2028 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
