On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing
The Nurse Unit Manager of Supportive and Palliative Services will lead the efficient, safe and effective operations of the Palliative Care Unit and Palliative Care Consultancy team; and ensure the delivery and coordination of patient focussed care, with emphasis on patient will and preference.
The Supportive and Palliative Service, at Peninsula Health is inclusive of a 15 bed Palliative Care Unit located at 125 Golf Links Road, Frankston, and a Palliative Care Consultancy Team that are based at Frankston Hospital, but also consult across all Peninsula Health sites. Three physical bed spaces from Palliative Care unit, are utilised for a home based palliative care program, under the operational governance of the At Home Subacute program.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
Degree level qualification in Nursing, with current AHPRA registration
Experience In provision of Supportive and Palliative Care, with a post graduate level qualification In Palliative Care being desirable;
Demonstrated leadership skills and an ability to build a cohesive team with clarity around goals and accountabilities;
Demonstrated clinical and management experience;

*Please refer to Nurses And Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) Single Interest Employer Agreement 2024-2028 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
