What You Will Be Doing
This Occupational Therapy position focuses on providing weekend services for the At Home Subacute patient cohort, which includes assessment and intervention for patients under the neurological, orthopaedic, rehabilitation, GEM, and palliative care streams. Therapists will be expected to apply evidence-based practice and rehabilitation principles in their approach to care.
As part of this role, you will deliver services across the Peninsula Health catchment area, with the possibility of working flexibly across multiple Peninsula Health sites. This position is part of the Better@Home initiative at Peninsula Health and may involve working across the broader Health Independence Program (HIP) to ensure that patients receive exceptional, person-centred care in an ambulatory setting.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA).
- Demonstrated competence in Occupational Therapy clinical service provision, including evidenced based assessment, intervention and discharge planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in the community setting and be self-directed.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary team environment including commitment to effective communication and clinical handover with team members.
- Ability to adapt approach to meet both the needs of the consumer and the service.
- Able to uses a range of software application features for work processing, spreadsheet sheets and electronic patient records etc.
- Current driver’s license.

*Please refer to Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
