The Team & Role
The Oncology Application Specialist is primarily responsible for providing end user support, training, configuration and maintenance for the CHARM® (Oncology) application. The role will provide level 2 service desk support for the CHARM® application, and its use alongside other Bayside Health clinical and administrative applications. This newly created role will be a key resource in the Digital Health Team, and will work closely with Bayside Health’s Oncology Services, Clinical Directors, Pharmacy and Information Technology teams. The role will also be the lead contact representing Bayside Health’s interests with the Oncology Application vendor.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in pharmacy, nursing, medicine or other relevant clinical discipline
- Demonstrated experience in health service delivery in an oncology environment
- Demonstrated experience using an oncology application, or similar clinical information system
- Strong knowledge of hospital environments and associated clinical workflows
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Desirable
- Previous experience working with the CHARM® application
- Demonstrated experience using pharmacy dispensing applications [e.g. iPharmacy]
- Demonstrated experience with the provision of clinical decision support around dose calculations and medication-medication interactions management.
- Demonstrated experience with handling chemotherapy prescriptions including PBS claims.
- Demonstrated experience with ordering and manufacturing of oncology infusions
- Previous experience in a clinical application support / service desk role
