On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. 

The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing  

The Personal Assistant provides general secretarial and administrative support to the Clinical Director Medicine and to other senior medical managers at the discretion of the Clinical Director Medicine. This aspect of the role is 0.4 EFT.

The Basic Physician Trainee (BPT) coordinator role is 0.6 EFT. It involves supporting the Directors of Physicians Education deliver a program at Peninsula Health which enables Trainees to meet the clinical and education requirements of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP).You will be working closely with Basic Physician Trainees and be instrumental in ensuring their training program at Peninsula Health
is a positive experience. Peninsula Health is part of a training consortium with Alfred Health, Mildura Base Public Hospital and Goulburn Valley Hospital. This role also includes working collaboratively with the administrative assistant of BPT at Alfred Health to support the administrative requirements of the consortium.

What You Need 
We anticipate you will have: 

  • Experience in administration tasks in a similar role
  • Experience such as setting up online meetings, managing spreadsheets, utilising complex data sets
  • Experience in managing resources within a budget
  • Desirable to have experience in Microsoft teams, excel and word
