On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.  

The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing   

The Physiotherapy Department provides services to multiple sites throughout the Mornington Peninsula. Services include: acute, rehabilitation, aged care, community and home based physiotherapy. 
To broaden your skills and working closely with a supervisor, as the Grade 1 (or translated grade 2) Physiotherapist, you will participate in rotations across various sites and programs to provide a range of clinical services aimed at achieving high quality care within operational parameters.

What You Need  

We anticipate you will have:  

•    Registration as a physiotherapist with AHPRA.
•    Able to competently perform high quality Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and patient management, including thorough and appropriate discharge planning. 
•    Actively supports changes by adjusting work practices. 
•    Identifies and proposes practical solutions to problems 
•    Demonstrated willingness to participate in Professional Development. 
•    Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. 
•    Identifies and proposes practical solutions to problems. 
•    Takes an organised and methodical approach to the prioritisation of tasks.

*Please refer to Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
