On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing
The Grade 2 Position is rotational across the continuum of care, offering rotations in Community Health, Sub-Acute, Residential, Acute, Acute Rehab Team, High Risk Foot Clinic and At Home care. The Grade Two Allied Health Assistant provides support to deliver high quality evidence based podiatry services to a broad range of clients. The Allied Health Assistant will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team. The position is responsible for supporting delivery of client centred assessments and care plans and provides a flexible treatment approach with a strong emphasis on self-management and outcome evaluation. The Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will provide clinical and non-clinical support to the Podiatry team. The AHA will work under the delegation and supervision of an Allied Health Professional (AHP).
What You Need
• Certificate III / Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
• Minimum 120 hours of clinical placement.
• Current Victorian drivers licence
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience working in Podiatry setting.
• A sound understanding of gr 2 AHA scope of practice in the Podiatry setting.
• Understanding of normal development and medical conditions, as relevant to the role.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills through direction and feedback
• Ability to use a wide range of software applications for word processing, databases, etc.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Demonstrated problem solving and organisational skills.

*Please refer to salary circular for Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021 – 2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
