What You Will Be Doing   

 

Exciting opportunity to join a relatively new Procurement Team in the health sector as Procurement Coordinator. The Procurement Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Procurement Department, responsible for supporting both the strategic procurement team and the tactical purchasing operations. This position ensures seamless procurement processes by coordinating and managing various procurement activities, from sourcing and contract management to daily transactional purchasing. The Procurement Coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize procurement efficiency, deliver value-added services, and support the department's strategic objectives.

What You Need  

We anticipate you will have:  

 

Essential
Experience: Proven experience procurement or purchasing role, preferably within healthcare 
sector or in a similar role.
Skills and Competencies: 
o Basic understanding of procurement principles, practices and regulations.
o Proficiency in using procurement system such as iProc (Oracle) or similar platforms.
o Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically in Excel. 
o Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks, and consistently meet 
deadlines.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as 
engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders including internal teams and external suppliers, 
building positive relationship with effective communication.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and ability to maintain meticulous records and 
documentation
Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to work independently & collaboratively within a team 
environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated ability to display a customer-centric mindset, 
ensuring a positive experience for stakeholders

*Please refer to Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
