  • Permanent Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight
  • Located at Frankston but required to work across all program sites 
  • Classification: Grade 5 Level 1 - Level 5 (HS5-HS33)* plus super
  • Over-award payment negotiable for preferred applicant, dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience

The Team & Role 

 

Join Bayside Health’s Family Violence Program at Peninsula Care Group, a dynamic and multidisciplinary team committed to creating safer communities. Our services span a comprehensive network—including The Orange Door, Men’s Behaviour Change Programs, and innovative partnerships—focused on addressing the drivers of family violence and supporting individuals and families impacted by it.

As Program Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of these vital services, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed and family-violence-informed care. You’ll oversee day-to-day program operations, clinical governance, and service performance while fostering a positive, psychologically safe culture that supports staff wellbeing, reflective practice and accountability.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you will drive service excellence, strengthen partnerships across the sector, and champion innovative, evidence-based responses to family violence—making a meaningful impact on the safety and wellbeing of the community.

Skills & Experience Required 

 

  •  A minimum bachelor’s degree-level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science or a related field.
  • If a psychologist, hold and maintain full registration with AHPRA; If a social worker, eligibility for full membership with the AASW. 
  • Minimum demonstrated leadership and management experience (5 years) within family violence, health, social and/or community services programs
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the Family Violence service system including relevant issues, legislation, policy frameworks, and best practice approaches
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise and develop multidisciplinary teams supporting a positive, accountable and psychologically safe workplace culture • Demonstrated advanced financial management skills including budget oversight, reporting and resource management
  • Innovative strategic planning skills
  • Proven interpersonal skills and a strong ability to build relationships and partnerships to further agency objectives and improve client outcomes
  • Extensive experience in service planning, program development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement within a funded service model
