On 1st January 2026, five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health; a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1st January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
The Team & Role

As the Recruitment Coordinator will play a key role in attracting, onboarding and supporting end-to-end recruitment processes across Nursing, Midwifery, and Mental Health portfolios within Peninsula Health. As part of the Nursing Recruitment Team, within the Workforce Bureau, this role will contribute to the design, implementation, and monitoring of recruitment strategies that promote timely, equitable, and effective hiring outcomes.
The Recruitment Coordinator will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and deliver recruitment strategies aligned with workforce planning and organisational goals. You’ll partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, define job requirements, and ensure role expectations are clearly understood.
Operating within a centralised, end-to-end recruitment model, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle—including advertising, sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
As a key point of contact for both candidates and internal stakeholders, you’ll provide timely updates and support throughout the recruitment process. Your contribution will help enhance the candidate experience and ensure a smooth and positive onboarding journey.

Skills and Experience Required
Recruitment and Human Resources Experience
Completion of or working towards a Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource
Demonstrated knowledge of Success Factors or other recruitment programs
Working knowledge of the Nursing & Midwifery and Mental Health EBA (desirable)

*Please refer to Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
