Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
The Team & Role
The Medical Workforce Unit (MWU) is responsible for medical workforce planning including the recruitment, credentialing, contracting, on-boarding, and evaluation of medical staff across Bayside Health - Peninsula Care.
Recruitment and Credentialing Coordinators will be responsible for operational functions under the guidance of the Managers and the Director MWU. As part of the team, the role will provide support to the seamless process of medical employment and retention through the provision of positive employee service functions across the following areas:
• Collaborative medical workforce planning, establishment, and monitoring to ensure adequate staffing for safe and effective service delivery.
• Recruitment of appointments where MWU has direct responsibility for these functions.
• Credentialing and scope of practice of medical staff.
• Managing of on-boarding to ensure medical staff are ‘work ready’.
• Provide advice on issues related to the employment of medical staff.
• Employment contracting of locum and secondment arrangements.
There are two limited term vacant positions until 30 June 2026. Although the poistions are full time, part time may be considered for the right candiadte.

Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrated recruitment experience
- Working knowledge of the Medical Enterprise Agreements
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to prepare reports and other written communication clearly and concisely
- Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- High level working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including Outlook & Excel
- Business administration or other health relevant qualification (desirable)
