On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing
The Midwife works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence based person centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes. The MGP Midwife is a role within the maternity team.
The MGP midwife has relationships with the wider multidisciplinary team and this role incorporates the following specific activities; clinical practice, coordination of care, counselling, health promotion and teaching, advocacy, consultation and referral, collaboration with patient and unit management, research, supervision and mentorship/preceptorship and accurate and timely documentation.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Completion of a Midwifery Graduate Year or equivalent experience
- Valid Victorian Drivers Licence
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain

*Please refer to salary circular Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employer) Enterprise Agreement 2024-2028 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience. It is strongly recommended that this role is up to date with Covid-19 vaccination.
