The Team & Role

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Chemotherapy trained Registered Nurses to join our Peninsula Care Group Casual Nurse Bank.

 

You will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based chemotherapy and supportive cancer treatments within the Bayside Health Peninsula Care Group, based at both our Frankston & Rosebud sites. Working as part of a specialised oncology team, this role provides high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring adherence to national cancer care standards and organisational clinical governance frameworks.

 

You will play a key role in patient assessment, treatment preparation and administration, symptom management, and ongoing monitoring throughout the chemotherapy journey. The position ensures that patients and their families receive clear information, emotional support, and coordinated care, contributing to a positive patient experience and optimal clinical outcomes.

 

The Registered Nurse (Chemotherapy) collaborates closely with oncologists, pharmacists, cancer care coordinators, and the broader multidisciplinary team to deliver safe practice, maintain treatment accuracy, and uphold a high standard of clinical documentation.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Current, condition free AHPRA Registration
  • Completion of a graduate program including an Oncology/Chemotherapy rotation, or equivalent experience (min 12 months)
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia
  • Well developed nursing skills with recent Chemotherapy or Oncology experience (within the last three years)
  • ADAC Certification or working towards
  • CVAD and Cannulation competencies
  • Availability to work a minimum of three shifts per month
  • Holds a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
  • Ability to work across all of Peninsula Health sites (desirable)
