- Unit: Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Suite/ Mental Health & Wellbeing Services Inpatient Units

On 1st January 2026, five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health; a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1st January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
What You Will Be Doing
The Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Registered Nurse will be responsible for assisting the ECT Coordinator in the day to day operation of ECT at Peninsula University Hospital. The ECT registered Nurse will train in the role of an ECT coordinator In order to be able to relieve in this position as required. The ECT Registered Nurse will provide care to consumers receiving ECT; including preparation, support and discharge of outpatients receiving ECT as well as liaising with ward staff to facilitate inpatient ECT. If ECT Is not running, or as directed by the Nurse Unit manager, the Registered Nurse will work across the Adult/Older Adult Inpatient Units. Under the direction of the Associate Nurse Unit Manager/Nurse Unit Manager. In conjunction with the multidisciplinary staff, the Registered Nurse will provide evidence based recovery orientated care to consumers of the service and their families/carers.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as RN
- Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (or willingness to complete)
- Completion of graduate year or equivalent experience
- Good working Knowledge of ECT & Recovery-Oriented Practice
