On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Pool Nurse, you are contracted to an agreed EFT (minimum 0.4 EFT/32 hours per fortnight) and work across a rotating roster of AM, PM, and ND shifts.
Unlike ward-based roles, Pool Nurses provide backfill for vacancies across all areas and sites within Peninsula Health, according to their scope of practice. Shifts are rostered in advance, and allocations are confirmed on the day to meet service needs.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Current, condition-free AHPRA Registration
- Completion of a graduate program or equivalent acute experience (min 12 months)
- Unlimited work rights in Australia
- Must hold a Victorian Employee Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one
- Well-developed acute nursing skills
- Ability to travel across ALL Peninsula Health sites (Frankston, Mornington & Rosebud)
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 0.4 EFT (32 hours a fortnight)
- Flexibility to work in accordance with a 7 day rotating roster, including AM, PM & ND

*Please refer to Nurses And Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) Single Interest Employer Agreement 2024-2028 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
