Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.

 

The Team & Role

Our Palliative Care Unit is a modern purpose built 12 bed facility located at 125 Golf Links Road, Frankston. Out Palliative Care Unit provides comprehensive care and support to patients in the advanced stages of progressive life-threatening illnesses, where care in the community is no longer appropriate.

 

Facilities for patients and families include lounge room, overnight room, patients dining area and the sanctuary, a room for quiet reflection. Support and counselling services and accommodation are available for patient’s families.

 

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a valued and integral member of the Peninsula Health multidisciplinary team demonstrating flexibility in caring for patients and their families accords the organisation. The RN works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence based person centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes or a dignified death.

Skills & Experience Required

 

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Completion of a graduate year program
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience and scope of practice
  • Experience in an acute setting
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
