  • Location: Frankston University Hospital (with flexibility to work across Peninsula Health sites)
  • Classification: Grade 5 (HS5)*

 

On 1st January 2026, five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health; a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.   

The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1st January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health. 

 

The Team & Role 

The Medical Workforce Unit oversees medical workforce planning, including recruitment, credentialing, contracting, onboarding, and evaluation of medical staff across Peninsula Health.The Roster Master Builder will design and implement master roster templates for Doctors in Training and Medical Specialists, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements and best-practice rostering principles. This role collaborates with medical departments to align rosters with models of care and support the transition to an electronic rostering platform. Responsibilities include identifying resource gaps, recommending improvements, and providing training and ongoing support for roster management. Regular reporting and alignment with project timelines are essential to the success of this position.

Skills and Experience Required 

  • Previous experience in developing and managing medical rosters, preferably in the healthcare sector. 
  • Proficiency in computer software and scheduling systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Previous experience and ability with Microsoft Excel and / or Google Sheets.
  • Previously experience and ability to cost roster templates.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
