What You Will Be Doing
This position is one of the lead psychiatrists in the Adult service at Peninsula health and will lead one of the key work streams.
We work within a collegiate environment to provide senior clinical care and leadership to our multidisciplinary service that is committed to patient centred, personal, safe, effective and connected care.
You will be working to promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring services and practice as well as taking a leadership role in policy and process development.
You will lead and manage senior and junior medical staff in your allocated units to achieve optimum outcomes.
As part of a broader team you will support the further development of innovative, rights based, and person centred care
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022.
- Medical Practitioner Registration in Australia.
- Relevant Specialist experience.
- Relevant track record and experience in clinical management.
- Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills.
Ideally, the successful candidate will also have an interest in teaching, with appropriate skills to support this interest, or an interest in research.
