About Pharmacy
The Pharmacy Department at Peninsula Health operates across four campuses: Frankston, Golf Links Road (Frankston), Mornington, and Rosebud. Our clinical pharmacy services are delivered from satellite pharmacies within patient care areas. As a forward-thinking and innovative team, we offer extended scope of practice services, including Partnered Pharmacist Medicine Charting, pharmacist-initiated e-prescription transcription, and a pharmacist-led inflammatory bowel disease ambulatory clinic. We are committed to advancing practice through research, and with the upcoming completion of the Frankston Hospital redevelopment, our services will continue to expand.
What You Will Be Doing
The Senior Pharmacy Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall quality of services provided by pharmacy technicians at Peninsula Health. This includes delivering training, maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures, auditing activities, and developing the role of technicians to improve patient care. The role involves coordinating meetings, managing aseptic and general technicians, and ensuring PBS claims are prepared. The Senior Pharmacy Technician will also work closely with Senior Pharmacists and Technician Team Leaders to align training with service needs, while maintaining the skills to fill pharmacy technician roles as required.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Certificate IV course in Hospital Pharmacy
- Experience in Hospital Pharmacy
- Demonstrated leadership behaviours
- Experience with iPharmacy, HS8 and Cerner Millenium software (desirable)

*Please refer to HEALTH AND ALLIED SERVICES, MANAGERS AND ADMINISTRATIVE WORKERS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2025 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
