What You Will Be Doing
We have an exciting opportunity for either a Grade 3 Senior Psychologist or Grade 2 Psychologist to join the Osteoarthritis Hip and Knee Service (OAHKS). OAHKS is a multidisciplinary team that coordinates the treatment and management of patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis. The OAHKS team complete early comprehensive assessments of individuals with hip or knee osteoarthritis, refer to appropriate evidence based conservative therapies and prioritise patients for orthopaedic review. The Psychologist will work with people identified in the OAHKS clinic as experiencing psychological difficulties in the context of their arthritis. Common psychological presentations include persistent pain, sleeping difficulties, mood changes and/or anxiety. The Psychologist will support people with psychoeducation and evidence-based brief psychological interventions.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Postgraduate qualification in psychology
• Hold current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
• An Area of Practice Endorsement (or working towards same) in Clinical, Health or Counselling Psychology is desired, but not necessary
• Demonstrated clinical competence in the field of psychology
• Previous experience or special interest in health psychology and physical rehabilitation is desired
For Grade 3 applicants you will also need:
• Minimum of 5-years’ experience working as a general Psychologist
