    The Team & Role

     

  • The Senior Social Worker (Grade 3) position within the Emergency Department is an integral part of the service. This Senior Social Worker is a recognised clinical expert with advanced skills and professional knowledge in mental health and AOD, women’s health, crisis intervention, bereavement, trauma, family violence, vulnerable children and NDIS.

  • The Wellness Clinic provide multidisciplinary (dietitian, exercise physiology and music therapy) community based physical health and psychosocial interventions within a recovery orientated model. The team provides specialist expertise in physical health treatment, psychological, behavioural, social and functional interventions. The Wellness Clinic also provides support and education for consumers and carers/families as well as consultation to mental health clinicians.

    Skills & Experince Required

    We anticipate you will have:

    • Member of (or eligibility for) members of the AASW
    • Have had extensive clinical experience working in an Emergency Department
    • Have had extensive clinical experience providing an expert clinical response to family violence referrals
    • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate with key contacts and welcomes constructive feedback. Polite and considerate in dealing with others
    • A current driving licence
