  • Fixed Term Part Time, 64 hours per fortnight until July 2027
  • Located in: Peninsula University Hospital, Frankston, Victoria
  • Classification: Grade 4 Social Worker Year 1-4 (HR25-HR28*) plus super

The Team & Role 

As Senior Social Worker Mental Health Inpatient Services you will oversee the provision of social work services to the three inpatient units at Frankston Hospital. The Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit (PAPU) is a 6 bed purpose built unit providing accelerated access to specialist psychiatric assessment and short term treatment as well as planning and support arrangements on discharge, the Adult Acute Unit  is an inpatient unit providing specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment to consumers between the ages of 18-64 and the  Older Adult  Acute Unit provides specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment to consumers who are over the age of 64 years.

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Degree in social work or Master of Social work
  • Member of or eligibility for membership of, the AASW.
  • Minimum Five years post-qualifying professional experience in a hospital or related  Mental Health setting
  • Advanced demonstrated knowledge and application of Social Work Principles and Standards of Practice.
  • Post Graduate qualification in mental health or related field (Desirable)
  • AASW-Accredited Mental Health social Worker (Desirable)
