Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
The Team & Role
As a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering and coordinating speech pathology services to children with developmental delays within the catchment, including disadvantaged communities. The role involves conducting individual assessments and interventions, while providing support to families and sector workers on communication and developmental needs, using a holistic, family-centred approach informed by the social model of health. Predominantly centre-based, the position may also include outreach, consultancy, education and group work, as well as facilitating referrals and linkages to other services. You will contribute positively to a team dedicated to innovation and excellence while maintaining caseload expectations, documentation standards, and commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required
- Qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Holder of a current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)\
- Demonstrated experience providing evidence-based speech pathology services to children and their families within the community sector, including group work
- Demonstrated skills working in child-centred and family-focused practices including skills in working with vulnerable and disadvantaged families
- Experience in provision of clinical supervision
- Demonstrated multi-disciplinary skills with children aged 0-12 years
