The Role 

 

Take the next step in your career,  in this permanent Full time role as Team Leader, working Monday to Friday within our Adult Community Mental Health Team in Frankston. 

The Team Leader works closely with the Team Manager and Consultant Psychiatrist to provide high-quality clinical leadership and support the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of clinical services for consumers, their families and carers. The role provides leadership, guidance and support to staff, contributing to clinical governance, service quality and positive consumer outcomes.

In partnership with the Team Manager, the Team Leader supports the effective operation of the service, including workforce coordination, human resource and financial management, service planning, operational targets and key performance indicators. The Team Leader plays a key role in fostering a positive team culture, supporting service improvement initiatives and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and recovery-oriented care, whilst coordinating their own case load.

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration

  • RPN ONLY: Post graduate qualification in Mental Health or specialist undergraduate Mental Health
    program

  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient services and/or
    community mental health care

  • Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic interventions for clients and role model practice aligned with
    the Recovery Orientated Framework

  • Training in the provision of clinical supervision

  • Thorough knowledge of the legal framework for the provision of mental health care including the Mental
    Health and Wellbeing Act 2022

  • Current Victorian Driver’s License

  • Victorian Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
